Ronald Kooyers Obituary

Ronald Kooyers 1944-2022

Ronald Kooyers of Willits passed away at the age of 78, on June 24th 2022. He was born April 13th 1944 to Howard and Carol Kooyers (Brown) in Boise, Idaho. Ronald married June Kooyers (Powell) on August 28th 1965 in San Jose, California. He was a Machinist for 57 years and owner of "Mendocino Tool & Machine in Willits". Ron enjoyed reading, flying, fishing, hunting, playing poker and camping with his grandsons. He was THE BEST GRANDPA EVER! Ronald built boats, airplanes, and many other items. He was a Motorcycle racer, and Airplane pilot. He was a very talented man, there wasn't anything he couldn't make. Ron served in the United States Navy from 1962-1965. He is survived by his wife- June; Daughter's – Julie Gardenhire & Sheila Hicker; Son – Eric Kooyers; 8 grandchildren,8 great grandchildren; 1 sister and 3 brothers.

Goodbye to my dear friend on the other side of the wall. We had such a good relationship in helping customers in our machine shops. I wish it could have continued on.... All the Best Ron, you richly earned it and were a blessing to countless people. I miss you.
