Janine Ellison

1963 - 2023

Janine Ellison, 60, of Milaca, MN passed away December 30, 2023 at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park.

Born Janine Marie Lundgren on May 3, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN to LeRoy and Doris (Okerstrom) Lundgren, she graduated from Pequot Lakes High School and attended Northwestern College, where she was an All-American in cross country.

On October 25, 1986, she married John Jay Ellison at Northwestern College in Roseville, MN. Together, they lived in Minneapolis, MN and Springfield, MO, until moving to Central MN.

Janine was a member of Milaca Assembly of God (now called Lighthouse Fellowship) and owner of Care Force Homes. Janine and John enjoyed walks, traveling, trips to BlueFin Bay, camping, and coffee dates. Their passion was loving, supporting, and helping others.

The most important thing to her was spending time with family. She is survived by her husband, John Ellison of Milaca, MN; her mother, Doris Lundgren of Milaca, MN; her children, Joshua (Kayle) Ellison of Sauk Rapids, MN, Jonah (Gene) Walz of Elk River, MN, and Jamie (Douglas) Gregorich of Milaca, MN; her brother, Steve (Robin) Lundgren of Maple Grove, MN; and her three grandchildren, Liam, Alex, and Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Lundgren.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are preferred to Piper Breast Center at Allina Cancer Institute.

Memorial service held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Fellowship, 14238 9th Ave SE, Milaca, MN. Visitation one hour prior.
