Toni Williams Obituary

Toni (Antoinette) Jean Williams, 78, of Falcon Heights, MN, passed away on November 20, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones, after a brave battle with ALS.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton. Fr. Kevin Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 PM prior to the service.

Toni was born to Frank and Kathleen (Ellering) Fischer on February 27, 1947, in St. Cloud. She attended Cathedral High School and was majorette in the drum corps. After graduation she became a Registered Nurse, working at multiple hospitals.

She married Mike Williams in 1969, and they settled in Princeton, where they raised their two children and dog, Yo-Yo. Toni returned to school and received her BA in teaching from St. Cloud State. An avid lifelong reader, she worked in school reading programs, as the chemical health/dependency coordinator for 17 years for the district and then moved into the classroom for a decade as a middle school social studies teacher. She was a leader for the first Circle Justice program. She leaves behind a legacy of love for kids in Princeton and lifelong friendships.

Toni's love shined brightly, and she will be most remembered for sharing her kindness and big heart with everyone. She was intuitive, spiritual, and loved to laugh. She and Mike built their 'Treetops' retreat, where she created a beautiful hosta garden. She spent endless hours cultivating the garden, using her fire pit, and listening to the frogs and owls. Toni's love of nature and travel with her family left an indelible impression on her kids and incredible memories. She enjoyed long lunches with her friends. She likely spent more time at craft fairs with her closest friends than she did crafting; the adventure with her friends was the important part. After Mike passed away, she and her faithful dog, Teddy, enjoyed long walks and even longer discussions at Treetops.

Toni is survived by her children, Chris (Britt) and Erin Williams; sisters, Cheri (Rog) Nelson and Kathy Fischer; and extended family and cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; grandparents; niece, Julie; and devoted companion, Teddy.

Toni was a strong person throughout life despite numerous serious events. She never complained. Her tenacious approach to her diagnosis is something her children are immensely proud of. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her memory to the ALS Association, a food pantry, or an animal rescue.

November 27, 2025

It was my good fortune that I was able to really connect with my cousin Toni for the first time on Facebook about 12 years ago. It was evident early that she believed in the best that people could be and her empathic caring nature resonated with me. We will miss you, cuz!
