DALE BEYERSDORF Obituary

Dale Henry Beyersdorf, a Sonora resident for 60 years, died Oct. 6 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Born Jan. 18, 1937, Beyersdorf served proudly in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss in Texas before settling in Sonora, where he built a successful career as both a contractor and a real estate agent.
Beyersdorf attended Sierra Bible Church, where his faith was a guiding part of his life. He was known for his generosity, humor and love of connecting with others, often through handwritten cards and letters to family and friends.
He had a deep appreciation for nature and spent many days exploring and fishing in Yosemite National Park. At home, he loved cooking hearty meals, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and sharing time with his large family.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Beyersdorf, of Sonora; five children, Tracy Bentley, of Sonora, David Beyersdorf, of Sonora, Eric Beyersdorf, of New York, Angie Edwards, of North Carolina, and Craig Erickson, of Sonora; seven grandchildren, Katie, Julia, Lydia, Sasha, Nick, Kai and Sophia; and 10 siblings, Joyce, James, David, Bruce, Ruby, Milan, Gene, Gale, Bonnie and Vilas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan; father, Henry; and stepfather, Elmer.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Sierra Bible Church in Sonora.
