Longtime Sonora resident Dameion Michael Lawrence passed away at his home on Oct. 24, 2021. He was 45. Born in Winstead, Connecticut, Dameion lived the past 20 years in Sonora, where he worked in mechanics. He was known as "Mr. Fix It," enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt bikes and quads. He also enjoyed music and beer. Dameion was a big, lovable man with a big heart. He was a family man who loved his kids, nieces, nephews and grandkids, and was a friend to many. Dameion is survived by his partner of 12 years, Tara Richison; his children, Reese Lawrence, Gabriel Lawrence, Morgan Main and Kaitlin Boyd; grandchildren Jacob Eastman, Ayden Eastman, Addison Boyd and Maycee Boyd; siblings Derrick Lawrence and Jacob Flood (also his best friend); and his dad, Michael Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Lawrence. A service will be held at a later time.
