Sat here today and talked to my wife about my friend Eric. She asked where he was and I see he sadly passed away. I studied in BC children´s with Eric and we wrote and produced a medics revue on Granville island. I remember trying to keep up with Eric as we ran into work up Oak street. He was ridiculously fit and far too good looking ! He was a great friend and colleague. I am shocked and saddened and disappointed I lost contact with him when I moved to the uk.

I am so sad to just learn of Dr. Freedman's passing. He took such wonderful care of my disabled adult son, Joe at the Folsom office. He was incredibly patient, kind, and spent a lot of time just chatting with Joe. What a loss for his patients and family.

So sad to hear of Dr. Freedman´s passing. He was my Urologist in the Folsom office. I really liked this man. He was very understanding and knowledgeable of my issues. He will be missed by many.

We were shocked to learn today of Eric's sudden and unexpected passing. Eric and I met during our internship in Victoria where together we took another step in becoming doctors. Years later we spent a week together in Dallas, preparing for and sitting our specialty Board exams...a stressful time that I look back on with fondness. Our paths crossed many times since then and it was always a pleasure to catch up. It's hard to imagine not being able to share stories. Eric will be remembered for his many qualities among which his big smile and love of life stand out. Nancy, Josh, and Sarah, we share in your loss.

As time now wears on, so many of us will hold Eric in our hearts and minds. Those who have gone from our sight remain alive in our thoughts forever. Eric saved lives and cared deeply for his patients. He was so thoughtful in his writings and care of others. Our last day with him was 1 of excitement as he looked forward to being in nature and doing something he loved. May his loved ones know that his professional life touched so many in ways that can´t be measured or explained. He touched hearts and comforted others while they were unwell. May the memories of him comfort his family as they adapt to life without him in their view. Eric now rests in the comfort of Gods loving arms.

I was one of his first patients when he came to Sonora and felt the community lost a great asset when he left. The only local specialist I put my trust in. But those pictures on the wall of his waiting room of the youth soccer teams he was involved said much about him.
If you have to die early, what better place than Yosemite. My condolences to those loved ones left behind.

There are way too many great memories from medical school and before. Eric brought so many smiles to so many of us throughout those trying times. He was a great school colleague and I see he has a lovely family now as well. Hearing about his death was quite humbling, but at least he was doing something he loved. He was always keen for adventure.
