Geno Gurich Obituary
Born in Santa Clara, California, Aug. 15, 1989, he moved to Copperopolis in Calaveras County with his family in 2004 and has been here ever since.
He is survived by his wife, Marlee Gurich (mother of Uriah and Hailey); his three children, Uriah (12), Harley (5) and Hailey (2 months); his parents, Gene and Debbie Guirch, of Yerington, Nevada; twin sister Andrea Smith, of Copperopolis, sister DeAnna Gurich, of Santa Barbara, and younger brother, Matthew Gurich, of Citrus Heights.
Geno was a dedicated husband and father, devoted to his family and friends. He was always ready to help others, whether they have two legs or four. When he wasn't at his longtime job at Sonora Sleep Works & More working with his close friends there, he was living life to the fullest, either helping others or enjoying outdoor activities and his various hobbies. His priority was spending time with his family, making new memories. He was loved by all those in his life and will be sorely missed by all.
There will be a celebration of life for Geno from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Black Creek Clubhouse at Black Creek Park, 920 Black Creek Drive, Copperopolis. All are welcome to attend. Casual attire. Please try to RSVP on the Facebook page "Geno Gurich's Celebration of Life."
Anyone who wishes to honor Geno with a memorial contribution is asked to either use the GoFundMe account (link on the Facebook page) or in a card at the celebration.
