Henry Blake Moore passed away on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at the age of 93. Henry Moore was born in Durant, Oklahoma ,in 1928. In his early years, Henry's family worked on a 160-acre farm growing corn, cotton and peanuts during the Great Depression. Later on, Henry worked many jobs which included picking cotton and servicing cars. He eventually owned an auto body repair shop. Gold prospecting was his favorite hobby. He joined the Lost Dutchman mining association and spent time looking for gold in the California mountains. In 2006, he married Shirley Engles. He shared the rest of his life with her in Copperopolis, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, in August 2021; and his brothers James, Donald and Billy Joe Moore. He is survived by stepson Jerry (Amanda) Engles and step-daughter Teri (John) Frederickson. A memorial service for Henry and his wife, Shirley, will be held in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
