LLOYD ZWEIGLE Obituary

Lloyd G Zweigle, 96, passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2025, in Jamestown, CA. Born on April 2,1928 in Lodi, CA, to Ralph and Ida Zweigle.
Lloyd lived a life marked by devotion to his family. Lloyd was a skilled and professional Tool and Die maker in steel manufacturing, a career from which he retired at the age of 55.Following his retirement, he and his beloved wife-Dolores, known affectionately as Honey, relocated from the Bay Area to MI Wuk Village, before settling in Jamestown in 2001.
A dedicated family man,Lloyd was a loving husband to Dolores for 75 yrs and a caring father to his children Lori Grimaldo (Ray) of Loveland CO, Valerie Zweigle of Medford, OR, Daryl Zweigle (Kimberly) of San Jose. He was also a grandfather to Heather Dunbar (Wes) of Loveland CO, Jolene Bloss (Odin) of Medford OR, Josh Mattson of Omaha NE, Lauren Quicke (Joe) of San Jose, and Sean Zweigle of San Jose. And a great grandfather to Zane Bloss and Charley Quicke.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his eldest son Ronald in 1989.
Known as "Pops" to those close to him. Lloyd will be remembered as a kind, loving soul who always had a smile on his face. He was a protective, hardworking and a dedicated father, as well as an avid sports fan,especially of the S.F. 49ers and the Giants. His enthusiasm for sports was evident in his years he spent going to his kids sporting events. He took pride in pitching and hitting ground balls and batting practice to Daryl. His favorite quote was "I'm just kicking back and taking life easy". During his retirement Lloyd, alongside Dolores enjoyed traveling and embarked on multiple cruises to destinations such as The Bahamas, Europe, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Lloyd's life was a testament to his love for his family and his zest for life, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and enduring love.
A funeral mass will be held at St.Patrick's Catholic Church in Sonora on March 14 at 10am. A reception will immediately follow.

My Condolences to the Family . I had fun times when we My mom Gladys Lloyd´s sister went to visit and had fun parties at uncle Lloyd´s and Aunty Dolores house . So much happiness going on . Uncle Lloyd you´re going to have a fun time being with all your siblings.

I met Lloyd and Dee shortly after moving to Mill Villa in 2011. He was the epitome of a gentleman - and always with a sweet smile. The last few years were tough, but he always wanted a hug from me and my walking partner Jinny. He will be missed.
