MARIE TIDBALL Obituary

Marie June Tidball passed away in Golden Sonora Care Facility on Jan. 4, 2025. She was 94 years old.
June was born in Hayward, California, to Howell and Mae Plemmons.
She is survived by her children, Linda Leloudis and husband, John, and Mark Tidball and his wife, Julie; grandsons Nicholas, Jonathan, Brian, and Steven, and their spouses, Amanda, Barbara, Karen, and Yuri; and great-grandchildren Anyssia, Carter, Anthony, Jenasie, Danielle, Ethan, Ken.
June loved nature and the mountains. She had a passion for photography and was an artist.
She went to Hayward High School and graduated in 1947. The girls had gone on a supervised skiing trip to Dodge Ridge, but there was no snow, so they went to a dance in Tuolumne City, which is where she met Bill, who worked for the Forest Service out of Soap Creek Logging Camp. They were married in 1949 and enjoyed 76 years of marriage.
In 1988, finally, their dreams came true when they moved to Sonora and built a log home on 10 acres of land overlooking the valley and Sonora.
May she continue to watch the sunrise and sunsets over the valley and Sonora in peace. All will sorely miss June.

Dear, sweet June. You still make us smile every time we think of you, that smile always lit up the room. The sound of your laughter is in our hearts forever. Tom always teased you about sipping the sherry while you were cooking, because he could see the bottle out and you were always cheerful and had rosy cheeks. And for the record, you never did deny that, you just smiled more. Classy, silly, lovely June. Rest in peace, sweet friend.

June was a wonderful person who always saw the good in everything and everyone. Always joyful, she was so artistic, generous and kind. I wish I could have known her better but her spirit is reflected in her daughter, Linda, who shares so many of her wonderful traits. She now will share her heavenly home with her loving husband who she missed so dearly. And she will get to look over her beloved Sonora with its natural beauty and wildlife from on high. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

To Our Beloved Mom and Junie,
You will always be in our hearts prayers and memories. With every sunrise and sunset we will always think of you standing by the kitchen sink overlooking the valley and Sonora and sitting on the back porch at sunset looking for deer and the cloud formations filled with color over the valley. She had a love for nature which was reflected in her art and photography. June had many memories and stories of her and her beloved Bill traveling the countryside in their camper. June was part of the lives of all her grandchildren who dearly loved her and called her GiGi. She loved rides in the backroad countryside and visits to Pinecrest to which she always got a vanilla swirl in a cup. Our Love for you and our memories of you will be as long as time is eternal. Rest in Peace June.

Mom, " Junie", You will always be loved and remembered in our hearts and memories. When we sit and watch every sunrise and sun set we will be thinking of you standing by your kitchen window having coffee watching it rise or sitting on the back porch looking over the valley and your beloved Sonora watching the sun set. You had a deep love for nature and the mountains as it was reflected in your artwork and photography. You loved traveling with your beloved Bill traveling the countryside making memories together. You enjoyed our rides up to Pinecrest always ending with a vanilla soft serve ice cream You were able to see and love and enjoy all your grandchildren to which you left them a loving and lasting impression as their one and only GiGi. Your life was full of love and you will be sincerely missed. Our Love for you will be as time is eternal. Rest in Peace!

Heaven gained an angelI knew June from birth as she, Bill and family we're very close friends with my familyMy childhood was extra special because June always made you feel extra special. Our families watched a lot of football together and June always fed us well with her delicious cooking. We all camped together a lot and spent time at the beach where they lived in Pacifica.
I will never forget all the fun I had with June in their beautiful log home for a girls Mother's Day weekend with my Mom, Linda, my daughter and cousin. This was in 2015 or 2016. We all gathered in June's bed for coffee and had a blast giggling like little girls at a slumber party I'm so thankful Linda gathered all of our photos and made us books
I know June will be greatly missed to say the least! I pray for the hearts of all her family and all who dearly loved her May all your sweet memories of June comfort your hearts
