McHarry "Harry" Watson, of Mi-Wuk Village, passed into glory on Dec. 1. 2020, after a battle with COVID-19. He was 56 years old. Harry was born on June 7, 1964, in Shiprock, New Mexico. He moved up from the Bay Area to Tuolumne County in the late 1980s. He was a longtime resident of Mi-Wuk Village. He attended Word of Life Fellowship Church for over 30 years where he was a minister.
Harry loved sports, especially the Oakland A's. He umpired for the local Little League for 10 years and enjoyed making sure kids had fun playing the game. He also had a love for cats. He worked in auto detailing for about 30 years and took pride in giving his customers the highest quality detail every time.
Although he never married, he was a father to many family members.
He is survived by his father, McHenry Watson, and mother, Mary Watson; his sisters, Matilda (Bilal) Cartel, Fran Watson and Deborah (Tim) Miller; brother McHarrison Watson; nieces and nephews, Anhelica (Joseph) Durgin, Salomon Carona, John Hartfield, Aaron Delgado, Delrey Boyd and Jefferson Carrington; and great-nieces Junia, Anastasia, Celeste and Charissa Durgin
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at the Word of Life Fellowship, 24630 Highway 108 in Mi-Wuk Village. We welcome you to wear your favorite baseball team jersey or hat in honor of Harry. A gathering will immediately follow.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to your local Little League baseball team or F.O.A.C. (Friends of the Animal Community), Sonora, California.
