PATRICK GEANEY Obituary

Patrick Todd Geaney was born in Alturas, California on March 10, 1975 to Michael and Denise (Clement) Geaney. Todd passed away peacefully in his sleep, from a sudden heart attack at his home in Manteca, California on February 24, 2024.
Todd spent the first nine years of his life in Alturas, where he learned how to walk, talk, run and play with his brother, Shawn and many cousins. He enjoyed riding his bike, fishing and learning how to hunt with his BB gun. Todd attended Alturas Elementary School until 1984 when his family moved to Sonora, California. Todd attended Sonora Elementary School, Twain Harte Elementary School and 2 years at Summerville High School. When Todd was 17, he moved back to Modoc County where he attended his last 2 years of High School at Surprise Valley High in Cedarville, California.
While growing up Todd learned how to snow and water ski, play soccer, little league, skateboarding and mountain Biking. He loved to ride his motorcycle in the hills of La Grange where it was his passion to see how muddy he and his bike could get before it was time to come home. He also learned how to play golf and enjoyed playing a few rounds with his step-father (Doug Peters) at what was known as Mountain Springs Golf Course.
Todd had many jobs growing up. He worked at the Corner Gas Station in Cedarville and for Will and Debbie Cockrell on their Ranch in Cedarville. Todd also learned how the Appraisal business worked. He would pull location maps and photos for new jobs ordered with his step father's office. After graduating from high school Todd went to work for several Gold Mining Companies from California to Nevada. While working at the Mine's he fell in love with the tire industry learning everything he could about every kind of tire made. Todd got out of the underground mining when on his day off the mine that he worked at outside of Winnemucca, Nevada had a cave in. Many lives were lost in addition to jobs. Todd moved to Reno and worked for a tire company where he made service calls on the highway for any and all kinds of trucks, buses, RV's, cars and pick-ups. While returning from a service call he noticed a Ford pick-up pass him with a distinctive cell phone antenna on it. He managed to flag it down where he gave the driver a great big hug and kiss, it was his mother from Sonora headed to Alturas. He later returned to Sonora where he worked for Randy's Tires on Tuolumne Road and then moved to Modesto where he worked for McCoy tires. In the early 2000's Todd went to work for Cemex where he was currently employed.
Todd enjoyed many trips with his family and friends that included Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Ocean Fishing, Palm Spring, Monterey and riding his beloved Harley Davidson to Rally's in Nevada. He was looking forward to a trip to Ireland with his Mom and Aunt.
Todd never married nor did he have any children. His brother and sister-in-law blessed him with two nephew's and one niece which he spoiled to death with the biggest smile on his face. When his Mom found out what the latest gift was going to be, she would caution him to ask their parents first, because it could become expensive for them (insurance, broken bones, repairs to the gift, expensive upkeep not to mention a noise problem in the neighborhood). His reply was, I always wanted this when I was a kid. He spent many happy hours with each and everyone of them. Teaching them how to ride a bike, fix a tire, going to their games and teaching them how to drive. He loved each and every one of them unconditionally.
Todd had a great sense of humor and loved to make you laugh even if it was at your expense. He once showed up at his mom's house with his new Harley to show her at which time she said take me for a ride just around the block. So, donning the helmets, Todd says "you ready?" "hold on tight" before he got to the end of the drive-way, his mother had slid out of her pants. After an adjustment he said "Now are you ready"? Well that was the first and last motor cycle ride he gave to her.
Todd had many friends, many experiences and a large extended family that loved him very much, we are all going to miss him and keep him in our hearts until we meet again my sweet baby boy.
Todd is survived by his mother Denise E. Clement, Sonora. His brother Michael "Shawn" Geaney and sister-in-law Carrie Geaney, Manteca. Step-sister, Erin Peters, Santa Cruz. Nephews, Brandon (Kaori) Geaney, Brady Geaney (Payton Johnson). Niece, Bailie Geaney (Tyler Fitch). Great Nieces Genesis and Niveah Geaney, Great Nephews Jack Fitch and Silas Geaney all from Manteca. God Parents, James and Mary Nield, Alturas. Uncle's, Chester (Donna) Geaney, Jerry Geaney, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Kevin (JoAnn) Clement, Georgetown, CA; Aunt's Lynn (Clement) Braly, Coalinga; Kim (Geaney) Stanford, Alturas; Lana Geaney, Cedarville.
