RUBY ARLENE BUCCI

1933 - 2025

Ruby Arlene Bucci, 92, of Sonora, California, died Nov. 16, 2026. She was born April 13, 1933, in Sonora.
Ruby was the youngest of 10 sisters and the only one born in Sonora. Her sisters all were born in Alabama.
She met her future husband, Babe, when she was 12, and they married when she was 18. They were happily married for 67 years before his death.
Ruby adored her family and devoted all of her time to them. She cooked huge family Italian dinners for the holidays and for more than 20 years hosted an annual Easter picnic that was attended by more than 300 family members.
She also enjoyed decorating wedding and birthday cakes and gardening alongside her husband on their ranch. She put up wax peppers, onions, garlic, basil and olives, all fresh from their own trees and garden.
In her younger years, Ruby played guitar and sang in a trio along with her nieces Helen Graham and Dody Lewis.
Ruby is survived by three children, Christine (Chris) Bucci-Diehl-Thurston, Louis (Tony) Bucci and John (Joe) and Debbie Bucci, all of Sonora; four grandchildren, Rodney Diehl, Casey Townsend and Kara Bucci, all of Sonora, and Amanda Fails, of Texas; eight great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Luthor Bradberry; and 10 sisters, Comilla, Mary, Louise, Vonie, Alice, Gaynell, Christine, Imogene, and two who passed in infancy.
A private service will be held for immediate family members.
