SHERON AVEY Obituary
Sherry was a long time resident of Tuolumne County. She graduated with Sonora High School's Class of 1965. She married Craig Avey in 1963, and she had their son, Michael, in 1967, and daughter, Alisa, in 1970.
She worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed collecting antiques, decorating, trips to the casino, car shows, and visiting her grandkids. She was dearly loved, and will be sorely missed.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Craig Avey, of Sonora; her children, Michael Avey and his wife, Jenifer, of Elk Grove and Elisa Avey-Crisp of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren, Jordan Skokov and Alec Avey, both of Elk Grove, and Kacey Foxx and Cami Crisp, both of Tucson; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Mike Milligan, of Sonora, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Melba Milligan; and by her siblings Sandra Hicks and Byron Beckham Sr.
A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Sonora Opera Hall.
