William "Bill" Lewis Hamilton Jr.
1929 - 2021
Longtime Jamestown resident and Korean War veteran William "Bill" Lewis Hamilton Jr. passed away at his home on Nov. 3, 2021, at the age of 92.
Born in Sonora, Bill was a lifelong Tuolumne County resident who worked as a carpenter before retiring. He enjoyed gardening, Western lore and time with his family. He was also a 4-H leader in the Tuolumne County 4-H program.
Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anita J. Hamilton; his children, Bill and Paula Hamilton, Doug and Sherri Young, George and Melania Hamilton, Ronald and Krishna Hamilton, Sean and Samantha Hamilton, and Robert and Tina Comer; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Jack and Glenda Hamilton, Mick and Clarice Hamilton, and Don and Kellene Jardine. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joaquin and Ivy Morris and John and Hattie Hamilton; his parents, Bill and Violet Hamilton; sisters Karen Hamilton and Lois Lawrence; and his children, Dawna and Dwight.
No services are planned at this time.
