Andrea Duchesneau Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound love, we share the passing of Andrea June Duchesneau who left this world at home on October 31, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Andrea was born on June 9, 1946, in Manchester, NH, the eldest daughter of Gladys (Spector) and Louis Camann. She was a 1964 graduate of Central High School and then attended Becker Junior College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Andrea worked as a medical secretary and then became an entrepreneur of her own private investigative agency for over 25 years, a true reflection of her sharp mind and sense of adventure. She belonged to an international league of investigators, which allowed her and her husband to travel the world. Their adventures were filled with laughter, discovery and countless moments that became cherished memories. Following that, she worked for 10 years as a teacher's aid and a paraprofessional at Milton Elementary School.

Andrea was predeceased by her parents; a son, Michael Shine; and her brother, Jeff Camann. She is survived by her loving husband and caretaker, David Duchesneau; brother, Peter Camann; and sister, Candace Camann Clark; her children, Brandon Shine and his wife, Tracie, of Melrose, MA, Taylor Shine of Milton, NH, Tracie Duchesneau and her husband, Derrick McCleary, of Clermont, FL, Brian Duchesneau and his wife, Nicole, of Fairfax Station, VA, and Stephen Duchesneau and his wife, Heather, of Milton, NH; and her cherished 11 grandchildren, who she loved to the moon and back: Zackery, Isabella, Haley, Nicholas, Jayden, Dakohta, Mason, Noah, Evan, Brody and Audrina.

Though her memory slowly faded from the world, her light never dimmed, and her warmth, laughter and spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Andrea's life was one filled with compassion, curiosity and boundless love. A lifelong nurturer, she dedicated many years to teaching and shaping young minds with patience, kindness and joy. Children brought her endless happiness, especially her own grandchildren, who were the greatest treasures of her life. Her gentle heart and empathic soul made everyone around her feel seen, valued and loved.

Andrea had the rare gift of connection. Whether she was catching up with an old friend or meeting someone new, she made everyone feel instantly at home. Her conversations flowed effortlessly, full of humor, insight and heart. It was often said that Andrea could talk to anyone, anywhere... even to a tree and somehow make it feel understood. Above all, Andrea brought light into every life she touched. Her presence could brighten the darkest room, her laughter lifted spirits and her kindness left an imprint that will never fade. She had a way of reminding people that there was good in the world, simply by being in it.

Though Alzheimer's slowly took her words and memories, it could never touch her essence, her tenderness, her compassion, or the deep love she carried for her family. Andrea faced her illness with the same grace, courage and quiet strength that defined her entire life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and light, a family forever blessed by her presence, friends who will never forget her welcoming smile and countless lives forever enriched by her teaching, her stories and her heart.

May we honor Andrea not only by mourning her loss, but by living as she did, with open arms, endless curiosity and a heart big enough for everyone. She is deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. And she will never be forgotten.

Many thanks to Cornerstone Hospice for all their care and support in taking care of Andrea's needs and making her comfortable during these final months of her life.

Andrea was a loyal customer of Moe's Italian Sandwiches along with her immediate family. She was very soft spoken but she had a light about her as to where you felt relaxed in her presence. You will be missed very much. My condolences to the family.

I haven´t seen Andrea since I was a child but I always loved going to their house and Andrea was a great big sister to my friend, Candy. There was always so much laughter and she came from a very welcoming family. I am sorry for your loss and know by her obituary that she lived a full life and was loved.

I remember meeting Andrea many years ago, when my husband Leo (Mac) McCluskey and I were visiting at your home in Milton, and I always remembered that visit with fondness and delight. We were greeted by such a lovely person along with you. Your obituary for her shows the love and caring that both of you enjoyed all these years. I am sorry for your loss.

Although we are visitors only coming sporadically to enjoy Milton and Micah Terrace, we all cherish memories of her generous spirit. Andrea was beautiful, inside as well as out. Even during these recent moments, she retained her warmth and charm, always making you feel that you were appreciated. I have seen that her grandchildren know this - they have a great model to follow.
