LONDONDERRY -- Armando "Gus" Agusto, 92, died Sept. 30, 2010 , at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
He was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Waterbury, Conn., to Antonio and Maria (Emelia) Augusto.
He had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 16 years, formerly living in Somerville, Mass. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 27 in Londonderry.
He was member of the International Machinist's Union, and had been employed for the N.E. Confectionary Co. in Cambridge, Mass., retiring in 1982. He had also been a self employed real estate broker. He loved gardening and traveling to Portugal.
IN HIS LIFE: He is survived by his wife, Arminda Agusto of Londonderry; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Antonio A. (Patricia) Agusto of Millbury, Mass.; Louis P. (Jean) Agusto of Sterling, Mass., and Robert P. (Kimberly) Agusto of Londonderry; his daughter and son-in-law, Donna (Charles) Amaru of Reading, Mass.; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Monday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark Church, One South Road, Londonderry.
