Arthur Ahlquist Obituary

Arthur G. Ahlquist, 61, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester on October 18, 1963, he was the son of Alfred and Pamela (Pantelis) Ahlquist. A lifelong resident of the Queen City, Arthur was proud to call Manchester home.

He was educated at Manchester High School Central and was employed for many years as a driver with Baker Commodities in Billerica, MA, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Arthur had a lifelong passion for automobiles and was well known for his enthusiasm for buying and selling cars. A true Harley-Davidson enthusiast, he found joy and freedom on the open road. He also loved spending time by the ocean, whether taking rides to the beaches of Maine or traveling to the Caribbean islands, the sea always brought him peace. When he wasn't near the water, he could often be found on the golf course, enjoying time outdoors with friends.

Those who knew Arthur will remember him for his loyal heart, his sense of humor, and his easygoing nature. He deeply cherished his family and the people closest to him.

Family members include his sister, Karen Root and her husband, David, of Nashua; his nephew, Nicholas Root; his aunt, Ellen (Pantelis) Goupil of Manchester; his fiancée, Linda Falbo of Manchester; and several dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Ahlquist.

Services: Calling hours are Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4 to 6 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.

The Trisagion service will take place at 4 PM with Fr. Demetrios Costarakis officiating.

The funeral will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.

I´ve loved you my whole life. I always laugh about the time you taught me to drive a standard transmission. I am so saddened that time and adulting got in the way of my keeping in touch with you over the past few years. I hope you are at peace. I will always remember you for your kindness and thoughtfulness. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Amber

Karen & family, Linda, my deepest condolences. Arty, we've been friends for 50 years, I'd say rest easy, but your dad knows when you pulled those all-nighters, he would stop at the shop on his way to work to check on you, and you would run up into the ceiling to hide and have me lie for you lol. Rest easy, my friend
