Barbara Gaumont Obituary

Barbara Jean (Kies) Gaumont, 77, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer's.

Barbara was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, on January 19, 1947, to the late Frank E. Kies and Priscilla G. (Robinson) Kies. She was a graduate of Memorial High School, where she was involved in many activities, including cheerleading and various clubs and committees. Barbara continued her education by attending Hesser Business School where she studied accounting.

Barbara was known for her great love of animals, and in her free time enjoyed traveling, going on walks and hikes, and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara's husband, children, and grandchildren meant the world to her and brought her great joy. She was a loving wife, caring mother, and loyal friend. Those who knew her will always remember her bubbly personality, generosity, and zest for life. Barbara had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making those around her smile and laugh.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert Gaumont; four children and their spouses: son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Kim Gaumont, daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Aaron Prinz, son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jill Gaumont, and son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Sharon Gaumont; and grandchildren, Tia Arce, Elijah Gaumont, Hannah Prinz, Camryn Gaumont, Matthew Gaumont, Olivia Gaumont, and Lyla Gaumont. Along with her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her sister, Priscilla Atkins.

Lambert Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
