Betty Ann Monahan

Betty Ann Monahan, 87, of Goffstown, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Monahan.

Born on June 29, 1938, in Rochester, NH, she was the daughter of the late S. Lloyd and Emma Jacobs. After several years working for SAU 19 in Goffstown, Betty Ann spent more than two decades as the secretary of Dunbarton Elementary School, where she was a warm and steady presence for students, families, and staff.

Above all else, Betty Ann treasured her family. She found great joy in time spent with her children and grandchildren, especially while cheering them on at their many sporting events and performing arts activities.

She is survived by her sons Matthew and Michael Monahan of Goffstown; her stepson Stephen Monahan of Lewiston, NY; and her stepdaughter Jennifer Monahan of Washington, D.C. She also leaves behind her daughters-in-law Erin Monahan, Julie Monahan, and Laura Monahan, and her cherished grandchildren Peter, Phillip, Daniel,

Conor, Emma, and CJ Monahan.

Betty Ann was predeceased by her parents and husband; her stepson Peter Monahan; and her brothers Harold, Ronald, and David Jacobs.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and residents of Evergreen Place in Manchester, NH, for the kindness, care, and compassion shown to Betty Ann. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 3:00-4:00 PM at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast Street, Goffstown. A brief committal service will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Cemetery in Goffstown.
