EXETER -- Blanche Loch, 86, of Wayside Drive, died Dec. 8, 2009, after a brief illness.
She was born March 14, 1923, in Rowley, Mass., to Joseph and Etta (McInnis) St. Amour. She graduated from Keene Normal School in 1945. She taught elementary school for 30 years, initially in Newmarket, and later in East Kingston, retiring in 1974. She lived in Exeter the past 46 years.
She was a longtime active member of United Methodist Church of Exeter, serving as financial secretary and being instrumental in the building of the new church on Epping Road. She was a member of Seacoast Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Women's Society, and a member of the Exeter Hospital Inc. Oasis Senior Club.
She was fondly remembered as the strong defender of her family.
Family members include her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph Loch of Exeter; two brothers, George St. Amour of Exeter and Curtis Allen of Georgia; three sisters, Helen Harden of Sanbornville, Mary Lord of Exeter and Jeannette Allen of Maine; and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be Friday at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Exeter. The Rev. Michael Pike will officiate. A reception gathering will follow in the church after the celebration of life service. Private burial will be in Exeter Cemetery.

Our deepest condolences to Joe, Blanche's siblings and their families for the loss of Blanche. She was a lovely women, strong in mind and spirit. She was a great neighbor and a kind friend to our three girls. Knowing what a difficult time Blanche had over the last year, we pray that you all find comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place.
