Bruce McKenna Obituary

GOFFSTOWN - Bruce R. McKenna, 75, died March 15, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Portsmouth, he resided in Derry for many years, moving to Goffstown in 1993. He was the son of Richard McKenna and Marjorie (Kimball) McKenna. Bruce was employed as an adjunct professor at Manchester Community College. He was a talented woodworker and craftsman. He was a lifetime member of the Goffstown Lions Club and a United States Navy veteran.

Members of his family include his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann McKenna of Goffstown and two children: Kimberly Ann Steinbarger of Surry, ME and Brian Richard McKenna of Candia, NH. He is survived by three sisters: Janice Miller of Hiram, ME, Marilynn DeRaps of S.C., and Joyce McKenna Lee of FL, and is predeceased by two brothers: Wayne and George McKenna. He leaves behind eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast Street Goffstown. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Passage, 121 Technology Drive, Suite 161 Durham, NH 03824.
