Burton Eli Lashua Jr.

GREENVILLE - Burton Eli Lashua, Jr., 80, of Greenville, NH, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in Manchester, NH. He was born on November 8, 1937, in Fitchburg, MA, the son of Burton Eli Lashua, Sr. and Elise (Pierce) Lashua.

Burton worked as an auto mechanic and master pipe fitter. In 1956, he was a member of the first graduating class of Notre Dame Prep School in Fitchburg, MA. He worked for General Electric, was certified as a nuclear welder and worked on the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant in Seabrook, NH. Burton was a 50-year member of the Steam Pipe Fitter Union Local 131 of Manchester, NH. He enjoyed woodworking and visiting museums. He loved trains and spent time riding them. Burton served on the Planning Board in Greenville, NH. He married his wife Carolyn (Snow) Lashua on September 5, 1959.

Burton is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Lashua, of Greenville, NH; his sons, Burton Eli Lashua III and his wife Nancy, of New Ipswich, NH, and Jeffrey S. Lashua, of Greenville, NH; his daughters, Ann Marie Bouley and her husband Jean, of Greenville, NH, and Laura Jean Bouley and her husband Marc, of Greenville, NH; his grandchildren, Burton Eli Lashua IV, Amy Lashua, Christopher Lashua, Jenny Lynn Bouley, Jonathan Bouley, Matthew Bouley, Luke Bouley, Dr. Amanda Lashua, Lacey Lashua, and Patrick Lashua; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by James S. Lashua.

All are warmly invited to a church service that will be held on, Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 11am, at the Sacred Heart Church, in Greenville, NH, then followed by a graveside service at the Pleasant St. Cemetery, in Greenville, NH.
