David Pushee Obituary

David George Pushee, 71, of Amherst, NH died peacefully November 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on April 17, 1954, he was the son of Jesse G. and Sarah F. (Peavey) Pushee. He attended Manchester schools graduating from Manchester Central High School in 1972 where he played varsity football and was the Senior class treasurer. He attended the University of New Hampshire where he was a member of the TKE fraternity.

Prior to retirement, he owned and operated North End Tire & Alignment in Manchester for many years. Previously, he worked at his family's Manchester Elm Street business, Merrimac Tire & Battery. David was always very friendly, social and a powerful presence in every room. To stay connected with people in his later years, he worked at Souhegan Woods Golf course and the Patio Barn, both in Amherst.

As a child, David enjoyed spending summers at his family camp on Baboosic Lake where he enjoyed fishing, boating, waterskiing and entertaining his classmates and lifetime friends. David was an accomplished drummer playing in two bands during high school. David loved meeting new people and made friends easily due to his sense of humor, outgoing personality and gift of gab. Always the life of the party, David looked forward to family and neighborhood gatherings where he could reconnect with loved ones and friends. David's love of golf and people inspired him to organize an annual Baboosic Lake Labor Day golf tournament that lasted for many years. He recently enjoyed exploring different rail trails on his electric bike.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Family members include his wife of 45 years, Linda (Ackerman) Pushee of Amherst; his siblings, Sally Alloway (Mark) of White River Jct, VT, Joyce Augello (William) of Englewood, FL, Stephen C. Pushee (Joan) of Meredith, NH; in-laws, Susan Doherty (George) , Jeannie Gird (William); nephews and nieces, Adam and Brian Pushee, Michael and Justin Quinn, Kelley Lavin, Erin Zotto, and Michael Doherty; several great-nephews and nieces and cousins.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester will be Wednesday Nov. 19 from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday Nov. 20 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.. A brief service will follow.

Dave was a Great Man! I had the honor to have known him at Central High School. We played football together. He never picked on a lower grade rookie or smaller classmate.
Very truly I am sorry for your loss.
With warmest Regards and Love.
RIP My Friend.
