Dick Marple Obituary
He was born on March 4, 1931.
Dick graduated from Dover High School.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy.
Dick was serving as a New Hampshire State Trooper when he married his wife of 61 years, Louise Wheeler Marple of Hooksett. Family members include his son, Ross Marple of Manchester; and his daughter, Cynthia Marple of Concord.
For more than 60 years he was a 32nd degree Freemason with Morrison Lodge and also a member of the Bektash Shrine. He was devoted to the Shriner charities, especially the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
He was also a lifetime member of both the National Rifle Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Dick went on to other careers, but his true passion was for the U.S. Constitution and the New Hampshire Constitution, which he could quote by article and section. He was an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the New Hampshire State legislature for many terms and was involved in many legislative committees.

SERVICES: Services will be at the convenience of the family in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.

Rep Marple was a friend and colleague. I will always remember my Constitutional indoctrination as a freshman in 2001! We served on State Federal Relations committee together and were seated together. Every meeting he brought handpits for me to make sure I got thr rigjt start as a Rep. He was quite a character but so passionate about his role and mission in the House. I will never forget him nor his kind words and speeches. My thoughts and prayers to the family. May you find peace and comfort in your memories.

A true patriot and watchdog for the rights and security of the People.
One of the first people I met when moving here in 2001, at the Polls of course.
Dick was never at a loss for words, but more importantly, facts and knowledge.
The world is a little darker without him.
I will miss him, as many will for sure, especially Louise.
May her and the whole family be comforted through these dark days.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I spoke to Dick a couple of times and he was a true patriot both in his love for politics and knowledge of the constitution. He was blessed with a loving wife and two great kids.
