Donald Blouin Obituary

Donald "Don" Maurice Blouin, 73, passed away at the Elliot Hospital on Friday, November 26, 2021 with his sister and brother-in-law by his side. Don was predeceased by his parents, Norbert P. Blouin, Yvette (Beaulieu, Blouin) Boulanger, step-father Bert Boulanger, and his brother, John N. Blouin.

Don was born on October 19, 1948 in Manchester and attended local schools, graduating from Manchester Central High School where he earned a letter playing for Central's hockey team. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. After his service he worked as a printer for many years. A trade he learned in the Navy. Retiring from printing he then worked for over 20 years for The Home Depot in Manchester, Hooksett and currently Londonderry, up until a week before his death.

Don will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his generosity, his love for his family, his cat and his truck, his willingness to help out anyone with any projects big or small, his love of gadgets, Star Trek, all things Veteran related and for his dedication to his work. Always the favorite rebel uncle he will be missed dearly by his nephews along with his sister and brother-in-law as well as family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. He loved making people laugh with his wild embellished tales, sense of humor, jokes and always a smile. He was known for making great pizza which he learned in high school working at his first job at Luigi's Pizza. His favorite pastime was skydiving in Lebanon, Maine and Pepperell, Ma. When he no longer pursued this he became a member of the Londonderry Fish & Game Club enjoying his beloved target shooting. He also loved watching all types of movies and science fiction shows.

Don is survived by his sister, Denise Burton and her husband Dana Burton of Manchester; his nephews, DJ Burton and Devin Burton; sister-in-law, Carla Blouin and nephews Dave Blouin, Mike Blouin (wife Jess), Alex Blouin (wife Ashton) & Ben Blouin, his uncle Jerry Beaulieu of South Carolina and many, many cousins.

At Don's request there will be no calling hours with a private burial at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Everyone is encouraged to celebrate Don and remember him in any way that brings comfort and a smile.

J.N. Boufford & Sons is in charge of arrangements.
