Donna Marie Toland

1950 - 2022

Donna Marie Toland, 72, passed away at her home in Manchester on August 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Portsmouth, NH on April 23, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Lyla (Cyr) Kidd. She shared 53 years of marriage with her husband, Vincent Toland Jr.

Donna was raised in Hampton, NH, where she developed a lifelong love of the beach. Many cherished memories were made at Hampton Beach over the years, from meeting her husband and getting engaged, spending sunny days relaxing in the sand and splashing in the ocean with her family, and enjoying yearly trips to the Seafood Festival. Donna took great pride in her home and loved setting up her over the top decorations for every holiday. She enjoyed her trips to casinos and to gem shows, where she loved hunting for new pieces to add to her collection. Donna was a long-time volunteer at Bakersville Elementary School, where she was fondly known as the "Popcorn Lady" who would bring delicious bags of popcorn for the students and teachers to enjoy.

Donna is survived by her husband, Vincent "Vinnie" Toland Jr. of Manchester; her son, Sean Toland of Manchester; her daughter, Stephanie Toland-Tufts and her husband Thomas of Raymond; her brother, Richard Kidd of Framingham, MA; her sister, Sue Anderson and her husband Craig of West Lafayette, IN; her granddaughter, Alexandria Toland of Haverhill, MA; her great-grandchildren, Syranna and Sylis; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her siblings, Dennis Kidd and Diane Jordan.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 1 from 4-8pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. Family and friends are invited to attend.
