WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Edith Marion (McCauley) Hanna, 88, died Aug. 6, 2008, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 22, 1919.
She is fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her affinity for music, vintage movies, and reading, as well as her humility and genteel spirit.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Herbert Michael Hanna.
Family members include eight children, Michael of Harwich, Paul of Norfolk, David of Chula Vista, Calif., Timothy of Victoria, B.C., Mary of Natick, Phillip of East Falmouth, John of East Falmouth, and Anthony of Chester, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at J.S. Waterman & Sons & Waring Funeral Home, 592 Washington St., Wellesley. A service in celebration of her life will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St., Wellesley Hills.
Memorial donations may be made to Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, or Chester Congregational Baptist Church in Chester, N.H.

Ma Hanna was a beautiful, loving woman and she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. Art and I feel blessed to have known her and blessed to have been with you to celebrate her life. Until we meet again Ma, we love you.
