Leonard Glessman

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Leonard Glessman, 75, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.

He was born and raised in Mount Carmel, and lived in South River, N.J., before moving to Encore, N.J.

He graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1956.

Leonard was married for 51 years to the former Janice Stakalis, who survives.

He was employed by Revlon in Edison, N.J., for 36 years before his retirement in 1993. He was also employed part time at Brunswick Hills Racquetball Club until 2009.

He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monroe Township, N.J.

He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool.

In addition to his wife, Leonard is survived by a son, Robert and his wife, Michelle, of Monroe Township, N.J.; two daughters, Renee Nied and her husband, Bob, of Richmondville, N.Y., and Rachelle Marone and her husband, Scott, of Millstone Township, N.J.; two brothers, Joseph and his wife, Eleanor, and Raymond and his wife, Angie; two sisters, Dorothy Billow and her husband, Fred, and Anastasia Lipstreuer and her husband, Jon, all of Ohio; four grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Wesley, Nicole, Owen and Madeline, and many other extended family members.

GLESSMAN — Leonard Glessman, 75, of Monroe Township, N.J. A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monroe Township, N.J. A private cremation was held under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, N.J.
