I had only recently discovered that Ed had passed away. My wife and I met Ed some 12 years ago during a tour of Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. We kept in touch by sending Christmas cards each year since, but did not receive one from Ed in December 2010 and feared the worst. We admired Ed and appreciated his humour and caring manner. We shall miss his correspondence.

I was so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. He was great guy. I always looked forward to picking him up for the Q. C. dinner every Sept. in Danvers, MA. He always shared his wealth of knowledge on so many subjects with us and made our day more interesting. He will be missed.

Dick and I only knew Ed a short time, but we enjoyed his company. He was an entertaining conversationalist, and were very glad we were able to see him in the spring when we visited Florida. Dick and Ginnie Schoepf

We only met Ed a few years ago when we were in Manchester. My brother Harry had told me about Ed, and that he knew of a connection between our families. We all met for lunch and found him to be a very charming man. We didn't solve the relation question, but he sent me what he knew. We saw Ed in Ocala last February, but time was too short. We wish we could have known him longer.

My deepest condolences to my cousins, Dot and Madeline for their loss. Ed was a wonderful person, without whom I would never have known all the family history he provided for me and my own grandparents. He was a warm, very intelligent man that will be missed. My prayers are with this family.

Ed was "the light" of GTE Sylvania. He was always cheerful and full of fun, but always dedicated to his job. Shine on Ed.

Some passings seem more significant than others. This feels to me like one of those. Probably because he was such an amusing character and liked by pretty much everyone.
