Hey Ed….

Knowing you, you're probably reading this wherever you are.

Had no idea you were back in Manchester….last I knew you were between Boston and NY.

Just mentioned you to someone last week and quietly wondered how/if we might connect again.

Will always remember you for the gifted writer and poet you were; as one who felt and cared deeply about life, for your crazy wit and deft irony, and most of all, for the irrepressible Romantic you were.

Thanks for sharing your many thoughts and enthusiasms about life and literature, and for publishing some of my poems way back then, in those early issues of Small Moon (I think I still have a copy somewhere).

Just rest easy and we'll catch up later…

Thinking of you always,

Steve

We were best of friends as well as cousins as young boys. As the years passed we parted some, with a phone call a visit now and then..but for sure as we grew old we grew closer everyday. Rest assure we will be together once more at the end. I'll see you later. God Bless You

I am glad that the photo I took of Ed when we were at BU was used for the obituary; he looks so handsome. He was a brilliant soul, and I will miss his cheerful songs, poems and jokes on the phone. Ed was a very important person at a very important time in my life, and I'll always love him.

Eddie Spaghetti with the meatball eyes...put him in the oven and make french fries. Peace and love to my first singing partner (The Wilson Half-Wits), and the guy who first told me about the Beatles. Glad we got to chat a bit in the last couple of years. Rest in peace, brother.

It is tough to see High School classmates go. I always remember his salutatorian address when he was censored by the principal. He stood up and said something to the effect that he could not give his speech he wanted and didn't understand why in America this could happen so instead he would read a poem. That was a very bright class that year and he, obviously, one of the smartest.

Rest in peace, Ed. Thank you for all your encouragement. It was a privilege to have known you, if only for a few years.

Rest in peace Eddie. I just know you are the Eddie I went to elementary school with from the Manchester east side neighborhoods. I always wondered what happened to you and so sad now that we never connected again. You were one of the few friends I had back then at Wilson School. I hope it was a good life Eddie.
