I had MR. K in my freshman year of 57 in Civics and his words of wisdom to me were show up for freshman football and i will ensure you pass my course. I did and the first day of practice without stretching exercises to begin my trek to the varsity team was to fracture both of my hips which ended my sports career at Bradley for almost 3 years. But, he was a super guy and his brother John used to call me weekly to ensure that Brother Brendan and Ed were taking care of me. MY condolences today to the entire Kissell Family and all who i know that knew him have been sent copies of this obituary. You were blessed to have him as we were at Bradley and remember his legacy for many years to come.

My condolences to the family. Mr. Kissel was my civics teacher at Bishop Bradley 1961-1962. He gave sage advice in the middle of civics lessons. He gladly answered my thousands of questions. One answer has stuck with me, "Stand on principle, not on formality." That was Ed Kissell.

My sincere condolences to Coach's family. I had the pleasure of working with him, in the PE dept, at Parkside for 4 years. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met...a true gentleman. He taught the students so much more than how to exercise. He would speak about a variety of historical places in Manchester that mesmerized them (me too!) and genuinely spoke to the kids, from the heart, about being good and doing good in their lives. The kids really loved him. He was everyone's treasure.
