CANDIA -- Edward Charles Weber, 83, died July 11, 2008, at Carlyle Place, Bedford, after a brief illness.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., Aug. 15, 1924, the son of Edward C. and Ida H. (Walter) Weber.
He was a graduate of Northeastern University. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he was an industrial arts teacher at Portsmouth Junior High and Penacook High School. He also owned and operated his own plumbing, heating and electrical business, and worked at New Hampshire Supply. He was a member of the N.H. State American Legion Post in Candia.
He once sailed to the Florida Keys and the Carribean on his Bristol Sloop. He enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, camping, and flying his own Aeronca plane, many times using his own airstrip.
Family members include his son, Francis Weber of Candia; daughter, Christine Dupere of Candia; and sister, Dorothy Wright of Reston, Va. He was predeceased by his wife, Odette (Guitton) Weber, whom he met in France during World War II.
IN HIS LIFE: He also leaves three grandchildren, Andre Dupere, Michelle Dupere, and Trista Weber; and two great-grandchildren, Patric Dupere and Nordica Dupere.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holbrook Cemetery, Candia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 8, Bedford, 03110; or the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, N.Y. 10128.
Maiden-Petrin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
