I graduated from Bishop Guertin in 2017. I never had any personal relationship with Elizabeth, but I would like to express my condolences to the Croke family. The passing of a fellow Cardinal and a promising young women is extremely saddening and devastating. Dear Croke Family,
I never personally knew Lizzy, but I attended BG a year behind her and remember her positive energy constantly radiating through the halls. I would see her around with a bright smile on her face that would undoubtedly spread to all those around her. We had many mutual friends and the personal stories I have heard have touched me, as she continues to spread positivity throughout our community even after she has left us. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss and can’t even imagine what you are going through, but I hope that you can find a small amount of peace in knowing that Lizzy had such a broad positive reach to people she didn’t even personally know

Lizzy taught all who she met what it meant to truly live. I was blessed to have known her and enjoy all the smiles and jokes at my expense. I loved how she danced into every class, always smiling and brightening the lives of those around her. Or how anytime I had food and she heard the wrapper crinkle she perked up wondering why I was not sharing with her. We had countless life discussions in study hall and in math as well. All of our hearts are broken at this devastating loss. As teachers we are not supposed to have favorites, but with Lizzy it is hard not to! She has left and indelible mark on me, and all those lucky enough to meet her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I only knew Lizzie a brief time but it was enough to make such an impression, from such a positive undeniable soul, that I can say with complete honestly I know she will live on in the spirits of all she touched, and guide their actions to be more positive, joyful, and grateful in life. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the shocking loss of Lizzy. As a youth basketball coach in Merrimack many years ago.....it was obvious that Lizzy was every coach’s dream #1 draft pick. Yes, we could all see she was athletic. But it was her zeal for competition and WILL to succeed was what really separated her from the pack. Lizzy was always one of my favorite people to play against, and I was blessed to be able to get to know her playing on the same team. Some of my fondest memories from basketball are joking around with Lizzy in line at practice or when we played against each other. Lizzy was such a bright and beautiful presence at Nashua Catholic and BG. I didn’t know her well, but I did know that she made any space she was in so much brighter and full of laughter.
