Esther Warren Obituary
Born in New Boston on Nov. 18, 1918, she was the daughter of Arthur and Olive (Allen) Perry.
Esther grew up in Hancock and taught grade school for more than 40 years, 39 of them in New Hampshire. She was a graduate of Keene State College with a master's degree in education. Esther lived in Peterborough and taught at ConVal for many years. She retired the same year as her husband, Kenneth P. Warren, in 1982 and they celebrated their retirement by traveling across Europe with their granddaughter.
One of Esther's greatest pleasures after retirement was talking with former students and listening to their stories of success. She loved nothing more than meeting up with someone who would ask "Are you Mrs. Warren? - you were my teacher in the 5th grade ..." She enjoyed gardening, picnics, family holiday dinners and making braided rugs. Esther was an independent, energetic person who remained active to her final day.
Esther is survived by her husband, Kenneth P. Warren; her daughter Betsy Finnan and her husband, Richard of Stanfordville, N.Y. and her granddaughter, Hillary Holian and her husband Matthew of Peterborough.

SERVICES: Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Friday, Dec. 30, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River St., (Route 202) Jaffrey. Funeral services will be held in the Cournoyer Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough.
