Frances Wiseman, resident of Searles Place (Independent Living) in Windham, NH, died March 28, 2022, surrounded by her family, at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.
Frances was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 5, 1936. She married Raymond J. Wiseman (deceased) and they had 5 children together; John Wiseman of Newtown, PA, Patricia Wiseman (deceased), Cathleen Trainor of Manchester, NH, Thomas Wiseman (deceased), and Mary Wiseman, Bedford, NH. Mary is married to Deb Wiseman, also of Bedford, NH.
Frances had three grandchildren; Samantha Trainor Becker of Woburn, MA (married to Matthew Becker), Sarah Simanskey of Chicago IL, and Scott Wiseman of Salt Lake City, UT.
She also had a sister, Jeanne Sloan, of New City, NY, and honorary sister, Suzanne Bonilla, also of New City, NY.
If you were to ask Frances what her greatest accomplishment and happiest times were, she would say her children and spending time raising them. From her children's perspective, we have to mention the incredible role model she was and how proud we all are of her professional accomplishments as well. Frances was a meeting planner for Digital Equipment Corporation and traveled the world planning their large meetings. She flew in helicopters from office to office. She managed budgets of millions of dollars and was a fierce negotiator who ensured these meetings (from food, conference space, decorations, hotels, travel arrangements, entertainment, speakers, etc) went off without a hitch. We mention this because it sums up the essence of Frances. She did it all with grace and flair; she didn't know the meaning of the word, complain.
Frances took pilot lessons around the time of her 60th birthday. She loved to ski and play racquetball in earlier days. She instigated water fights with her children inside and outside of the house. She knew how to say she was sorry (but she was never wrong!).
A few words we have gathered to describe her; survivor, classy, sassy, vibrant, courageous, fierce, elegant, stoic, angelic, hilarious, whimsical...
At the request of Frances, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations honoring her life be made to either the Community Hospice House or Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH Attention: Development or online at
