To Fred's Family: My deepest sympathy at this difficult time. Fred was a good guy.
Betty Lou was a classmate of mine and Fred as a youngster lived in the same neighborhood as I did. We sometimes played army with homemade wooden guns. I remember Fred had a gun that was very well made and I was very impressed. I don't remember if he made it or his dad did.
During my career I made infrequent business trips and I think Fred also did. I did not often see Betty Lou and Fred around Rochester but met up with them at Niagara Falls, Chicago and on top of Mt Chocorua. I don't think any of us ever forgot this strange coincidence.

Dear Colbroth family, your dad and mom were such good friends of my parents through High School and years after. Had I been a boy, my name was going to be Fred. I remember them as just good people and very fun to be with. My heart goes out to you with thought and prayer. May happy memories bring you comfort and peace.

To Fred's family, Our sincere condolences. As a long time member of the Rochester Runners, Fred was famous. His nick name was (FLASH). The reason he was known by that nick name, was because he would sprint out at the start of a race so he would get his picture taken. It all started out as a joke, but it stuck with him during his running career. Sue & Ken Houle
