Fred Merrill Obituary
He was born in Plattsburg, N.Y., son of the late Fred D. Merrill Jr. and Carol (Hanks) Merrill of Concord. He was a graduate of Hopkinton High School. He worked in sales at the cell phone kiosk at Target.
In addition to his mother, Carol, Fred is survived by his son Ryan Merrill; two grandsons; a sister, Heather LeBlanc and her husband Richard; a brother Scott Merrill; two nieces, Holly LeBlanc and Kaitlinn Merrill.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Christopher S. Merrill.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will not be held.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. at Grace Capital Church, 542 Pembroke St., Concord. The family suggests you wear your favorite New England sports jersey for funeral attire.
Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, DW Highway, Boscawen on Monday, May 20, at noon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute One Exchange Plaza, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006 The Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.watersfuneralhomeconcord.com

Dex had a smile that would light up a room when he entered! Through his illness he kept a positive attitude and was always so warm and friendly. Alton Woods lost a great resident. We will all miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Andrea & Emily and all his family. God bless you!!

Dex was on my bowling league and was one of the nicest, most positive people I've ever known. My heart goes out to his family, who will undoubtedly miss his presence the most.

I went to High School with Fred... I remember Mark Fellows and Fred and I hung around all the time.. Was shocked to hear of death. My thought and prayers go out to his family and friends. R.I.P Fred

Dexter was a co- worker of mine within the target wireless community, he was one of the funniest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Big heart , big smile.

I always looked forward to seeing his smile at work. I remember the last time I saw Dex, he didn't look well, but he was still smiling! Such a great guy and I feel so blessed to have known him. We miss him and we'll always carry wonderful memories of him in our hearts.
