Gerard Gagnon Obituary

Gerard E. Gagnon, 71, of Manchester, died November 14, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Nashua on May 15, 1946 to Lucien and Beatrice (Bousquet) Gagnon. He grew up in Nashua and later lived in Amherst for 20 years before moving to Manchester 12 years ago.

During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS McKean.

Gerry worked at Digital Equipment Corporation in Massachusetts and later was co-owner of Connective Technologies in Brattleboro, VT. In retirement he worked at Souhegan Woods Country Club in Amherst.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing and time spent with his family.

The family includes his wife of 33 years, Margaret M. (Sullivan) Gagnon of Manchester; two sons, Alan Gagnon and his wife, Michelle, of Los Angeles, CA and Kevin Gagnon and his wife, April, of Atlanta, GA; two step-children, Victoria Kirby and her husband, Matthew, of Manchester and Richard Gagnon of Somerville, MA; seven grandchildren, Kylie, Averie, William, Matthew, Maya, Grace and Isabel; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Gagnon.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A graveside committal service is Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery, 752 West Hollis St., Nashua.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerry's name to Make-A-Wish NH, 814 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03101.

Heartfelt love and prayers to all of the Gagnon family especially to Margaret his lovely wife and to his two children Allen and Kevin. He was such a kind and loving person and I have such great memories of Gerry going back to 1964 I will always treasure. My sincere sympathy to his entire family for such a sudden and tragic loss.
