Helene Josselyn Obituary

Helene Rose Josselyn (Bergeron) of Jefferson, N.H., passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by family, in Clearwater, Florida.

Helene was born on Dec. 13, 1953, in Berlin, N.H., to Leo and Annette Bergeron. She grew up in Berlin and attended the local schools before earning her Registered Nursing degree from the New Hampshire School of Nursing. She began her career as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Lancaster Emergency Service, then continued her service in the emergency room and operating rooms at Lancaster (Weeks) Hospital, where she cared for countless patients with skill and compassion. After starting her family, Helene transitioned to outpatient and case management work, balancing her devotion to family with her dedication to patient care. She later advanced to become an Electronic Health Records (EHR) manager, where she concluded her professional career with the same commitment to excellence and compassion that defined her life's work. Over the years, Helene made a lasting impact on many nurses, physicians, patients and staff, who will remember her for her leadership, kindness and unwavering professionalism.

In 1982, Helene met the love of her life, Keith Josselyn, and they were married in Kauai, Hawaii, in 1985 - a place they returned to for their honeymoon. This year marked their 40th wedding anniversary. Helene was tirelessly devoted to Keith, their marriage and the family they built together - a partnership grounded in love, respect and shared purpose.

Helene's professional life extended beyond the medical field. Alongside Keith, she played an instrumental role in founding, shaping and managing the family businesses - Josselyn's Sawmill, Inc., Josselyn's Getaway Cabins and Josselyn's Logworks - where her warmth, creativity and dedication touched everyone she worked with.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Keith; their children, Michael, Anna, Brian, Kelly, Allan and Shirley; and 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard, Robert, Rene, Roland, Lucy and Rachel, and was predeceased by her brother, Ronald.

Helene's life was filled with family, love and service to others. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, compassion and endless devotion to those she cared for. Her spirit of generosity and love endures in the many lives she touched along the way.
