Dear Eileen, Peter, Kelly and all the Mayhew Family: Please accept our most sincere condolences on the loss of Jim, your beloved husband, dad and granddad. Both Kevin and myself have the fondest memories of our friend Jim, as we travelled the circuit with Jim and Eileen with the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Jim was right there beside me as we both served as Presidents of the NH Assn. His smile will endure and your memories will last your lifetime. Sorry we were not able to be there. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. With sincere sympathy. Kevin and Christine

A week ago Saturday night I was singing "I'll fly away" in my sleep according to my wife. The song director in church picked that very song on Sunday. The coincidence was uncanny, and a very beautiful song for a funeral. I am so sorry for the earthly loss of Uncle Jim and may he be rewarded with a crown in Heaven.

Love and hugs to you, and to Jim Jr., Peter, John, David, Mary Anne, and their families ~

Dear Eileen and family,
I have a lasting memory of bike-riding with my older sister Bethany up to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Jo's house in Groveton, only to see Jimmy's hearse parked in the driveway. I remember the two of us freaking out and riding back home on our bikes to get our father to come back up with us so that we could find out what was wrong. Needless to say, Eileen and Jimmy had gone up for a visit, in the hearse, of all things, and everything was just fine!
I'm sure this is only one of many antics that Jimmy and my Grandfather have gotten themselves into over the years. His sense of humor will greatly be missed by all of us.

Phippie and family, we are so saddened with the loss of Jimmy. If it weren't for him helping my mom, dad and me when I was 3 years old, I would have lost my eyesight. I owe him so much... He will be in Heaven now playing golf or cards with my dad! All our love Mary Buckland MacLeod and family

I was so sadden to open the paper this morning and see his name. I remember him from the days of the store, building the funeral home in Plymouth and many years of kindness and friendship. Jim Mayhew was one of the few "People Funeral Directors" I have ever met. A good man, honest, professional and sincere. He once told me a life worth living is one worth remembering, well, memories last forever.
God Speed Jim.

Dear, Dear, Mayhews,
I write this with tears in my eyes, remembering "big" Jim, and his constant humor when I was a kid growing up on Buckland Avenue, next door to you on Silver Lane. Jim made his car (with us in it) have "hiccups" on the rolling, stomach-butterfly-inducing "bumps" of Rte 175 in Campton, a tradition I carried on for my own children. Jim will be missed -- my thoughts are with you all.
Love,

To the Mayhew family- I send you my deepest sympathies on the loss of your Dad. He was a well know "stucture" in the area and was very well respected.
A trait that was surely passed on to his children.
