Jane P. Fitzgerald

Jane P. Fitzgerald, 98, of Manchester, NH, died June 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester, NH on May 9, 1926, she was the daughter of John and Eleanor (Gallagher) Holland. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.

Jane graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls.

Until her retirement, she was an office manager with Dr. John Hurley, for many years.

Jane loved life and her family dearly. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jane devoted herself to her family and provided for them with the utmost humility, selflessness, and endurance. Those who knew her will never forget her strong will and selflessness. She loved spending time with her family, especially on holidays and summer vacations in York Beach with her sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was an avid reader. Jane will be missed immensely and held close in heart always.

She was predeceased by her husband, Everett C. Fitzgerald, Jr. He died in 1969. Jane was also predeceased by a son, Everett C. Fitzgerald, III; and two sisters, Elizabeth Shea and Ruth Lott.

Family members include two daughters, Perry Fitzgerald of Manchester and Elizabeth Dowd and her husband, Edward, Landaff; five grandchildren, Craig, Alicia, Chelsea, Shauna, and Brenton; two great-grandchildren, Henry and Juniper; and many nieces, and nephews.

Services: There are no calling hours.

A committal service will be held Monday, June 10, 2024, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH in the Shaw Memorial Chapel at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 1070 Holt Ave, Manchester, NH 03109.
