Janet Killpartrick Obituary

Janet M. Killpartrick, 79, a longtime resident of Merrimack, NH, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Methuen, MA, on February 21, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Benard) Tanguay. Janet was raised in Lawrence, MA, and was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Janet dedicated her early years to raising her family as a full-time stay-at-home mom-a role in which she truly excelled. In 1997, she began working for the Town of Merrimack as an Account Clerk II, where she remained a valued employee until her retirement in 2017. Even after retiring, she continued to work part-time until 2020.

Janet found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and was especially fond of family gatherings filled with laughter, good food, and togetherness. She was a talented and passionate sewer, and her impeccable sense of style and love for shopping were well known among those close to her. Janet had a knack for appreciating life's finer things, always adding her own touch of elegance and warmth wherever she went.

She was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Leonard and Richard Tanguay.

Janet is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Killpartrick; her four children: Kenneth Killpartrick and his partner Craig Sullivan, Kelly and her husband Ted Dillon, Russ Killpartrick, and Maureen Killpartrick; and her four adored grandchildren: Andrew Killpartrick, Adelle, Jameson, and Kennedy Dillon. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I was so sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you Moe, Kelly, Russ, Kenny, Mr. Killpartrick and the rest of your family. I have great memories of a lot of time and (many suppers) spent at your house. I was treated like one of the family and I loved her for that.
