Janie DeSalvo Obituary

DUNBARTON -- Janie Belle (Curra) DeSalvo, 62, died Nov. 11, 2008, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after an extended illness.

She was born in Arlington, Mass., Sept. 15, 1946. She was raised in Concord, Mass., and grduated from St. Johnsbury (Vt.) Academy.She was a long-time resident of Lexington, Mass.

She worked as a secretary for Baldwin Components for many years.

She loved skiing, horseback riding and was motorcycle enthusiast. She owned a Harley Davidson Sportster. She vacationed around the globe in places like China and Russia.

Family members include four children, James DeSalvo, Joseph DeSalvo, and Daniel DeSalvo, all of Lexington, Mass., and Leanne Preston of Dunbarton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Joseph Curra Jr. of Lexington.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Marashio Funeral Home, 62 Mt. Pleasant St., Woburn, Mass. A funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Church of Our Redeemer, 6 Meriam St., Lexington, Mass. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord, Mass.
