Joseph A. Danieli Jr.

Joseph A. Danieli, Jr., 90, of Bedford, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024. He is the loving husband of the late Joan B. (Ryan) Danieli with whom he shared over 66 years of marriage.

Joseph was born on July 29, 1934 in Medford, MA the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Harrington) Danieli. He entered the US Army in 1960 in Connecticut, proudly served in Vietnam, and retired after 20 years of service, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He received an undergraduate degree from Boston College and then earned a Master's degree at Syracuse University in finance and worked as the Finance Director at Harvard University for many years.

Joseph met the love of his life, Joan on a blind date and together raised a family. They loved to travel and vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee on their boat enjoying time spent with their friends at the Meredith Yacht Club. Joseph was also an active member of The Seton Hall Club at St. Elizabeth Seton Church for over 20 years. His greatest joy in life was becoming a grandfather and spending time with his family.

Joseph is survived by his son Mark Danieli; his grandchildren, Christopher Danieli and his wife Abby, and Kathryne "Katie" Danieli; and his brother Bill Danieli. Predeceased by his wife Joan B. Danieli and brother Paul Danieli.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 22nd from 4-7pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 23rd at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford. Committal prayers and military honors will follow in the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum in Manchester. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
