Joe and I were both military veterans. Joe served during World War II and I served during the Vietnam War. I will always fondly remember the wartime stories we shared with each other during our visits at Joe's home in Riverwoods, Exeter.

I'll never forget the first time I met Joe. He had the ability to get everyone in a room, I mean, strangers to talk. He had all of us in song at our office this past spring singing, "Show me the way to go home"! It was magical, truly. A group of stangers singing together. Joe was what the world needed more of. I'll never forget him and the traits he taught me that I so admired. Thanks for telling us your stories, Joe. We love you!!! All my love to his family. He was remarkable.

Bob, I'm sure your uncle will be remembered as a remarkable man. Sorry for your loss, but I'm sure he's met up with my uncle Lt. Joe Mathieu who was in Iwo Jima. They must have past paths along the way somewhere. Thinking of you all, and my Best wishes.
