Karen Ann Couture

Karen Ann Couture (Lawson) a devoted wife, sister and caring friend passed away on November 30, 2025 at the age of 68. Born on December 15, 1956 in Winchester Massachusetts to Raymond and June Couture, Karen graduated from Colby College with a B. A. and Purdue University with a M. A. and Ph. D. in Psychology. She retired as Professor Emerita from Keene State College. Prior to her years at Keene State College, she served at Notre Dame College as an Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Department of Psychology.

Karen loved dogs, sheep, goats, chickens, and ducks on her farm, but she especially loved her cats. She enjoyed history, exploring New England's antique homes and museums as well as her trips to Europe during her

college days.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years David W. Lawson, and her beloved sister Christine L. Nelson of New Holland, Pennsylvania.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday December 6 at French and Rising Funeral Home in Goffstown, NH. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00. Interment services will be in Reading, Massachusetts at Wood End Cemetery on Monday, December 8 at 2 PM.
