Kevin Savoy Obituary

The world lost one of its brightest lights on January 25, 2025, Kevin Francis Savoy, 63, passed away unexpectedly in Franconia, New Hampshire. Born on March 24, 1961, in Littleton, New Hampshire, Kevin's life was nothing short of legendary. He was a force-strong in spirit, generous in heart, and unapologetically larger-than-life. To know Kevin was to know a man whose heart and presence could fill any room, and whose laughter was like a spark that ignited everything around him.

A U.S. Army veteran, Kevin was a true American hero who dedicated himself to service and duty. But that was just the beginning. Kevin's culinary legacy as a renowned local chef will live on in every meal he ever crafted, in every dish that held not just flavor, but his undeniable passion. His love for cooking wasn't just a career; it was his way of sharing his soul with the world. He didn't just feed people; he nourished them, body and spirit.

A man of faith, Kevin was rooted in his Catholic beliefs, living them with a grace. But above all, Kevin was an incredible family man-a protector, a provider, and a person who loved so fiercely that no one ever felt alone in his presence. His sister Sandy, brothers Patrick, Donald, and Stephen, and his two beloved daughters-were the cornerstone of his world. He adored his nieces and nephews, giving them love, wisdom, and humor that they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.

When he wasn't busy making the world a better place through his work and family, Kevin was out carving up the slopes of Loon and Cannon. Skiing wasn't just a hobby for Kevin; it was his therapy, his escape, and his way of embracing the thrill of life at full speed. The man had a zest for life that couldn't be matched, and he lived it like every day was the last run on a powder day.

Kevin had an epic personality. He didn't just enter a room; he owned it. His charisma was unmatched, his generosity overflowing, and his love for others, boundless. He wasn't just a chef, a soldier, or a skier-he was a magnet, drawing people in with a rare, magnetic charm and an unshakable sense of joy. No one who met Kevin ever forgot him.

Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories too vast to measure. He's survived by his sister Sandy, brothers Patrick, Donald, and Stephen, his two daughters, and a legacy of nieces and nephews who will continue to carry his name, his spirit, and his infectious energy. He was predeceased by his father Francis Savoy and mother Barbara Savoy, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

Kevin's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. His passing leaves a hole in the world that will never be filled-but his spirit? It will live on in every meal shared, every ski run conquered, and every moment that makes life worth living.

To Kevin: The world will never be the same without you, but we are better for having known you. May your journey now be as epic as your life was.

"May the sun shine warm upon your face, may the rain fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand."

A graveside service will be held for Kevin on Friday, April 18th at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at 1pm. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire has been entrusted with arrangements.
