It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence "Larry" Logemann, at the age of 79. Larry was born on November 11, 1944 in Chicago, IL to George and Dorthy (Felix) Logemann.
Larry grew up in Mundelein, Illinois, where he met the love of his life, Barbara Reese. They were married for over 57 years and have 3 children that are amazing and perfect in every way. Through the ups and downs in life, Barbara and Larry stayed by each other's side.
Larry is survived by his beautiful wife, Barbara, and amazing children; Michael and his wife Cheris Logemann, Michele Logeman, and Melissa Logemann. Grandkids, Ashley Linton, Jacob Logemann, Taylor Logemann, Parker Burgess, Erika Burgess, and Loren McCusker. His sisters, Barbara Faulkner, Kathy Way, and Sheree Logemann Fukai, and numerous nieces and nephews.
His humor was one of a kind and his laugh was contagious. He had silly nicknames for almost everyone he met. He would sneeze 3 times in a row in rapid succession. He could tell a story about a funny thing that he saw 50 years ago and would still laugh just as hard telling it again and again. He could fix almost anything. He taught his daughter's to be independent and to "never need a man" in their lives. He taught his kids to be hard workers, never to quit and to always have an impeccable work ethic.
Larry got his degree from DeVry University in Illinois. He worked at various radio stations throughout the country. He was employed at CBN Network for around 15 years. He was a 3 time successful entrepreneur. In 1995, they sold their house in Virginia to move into upper New Hampshire. It was his dream come true to operate and own Twin Mountain Country Store in Twin Mountain, NH, for 11 years. They lived above their store. They loved the mountain view from their window as well as all of the wildlife that they saw every day.
After selling Twin Mountain Country Store, he opened an online woodworking business. His passion was woodworking. He also worked for Camp Kabeyun in Alton, NH for 17 years teaching boys ages 8-16 wood working.
He is an impossible act to follow. Saying we are sad is an understatement.. We will miss him every day. I love you dad. Say hi to Grandpa for me. Until we meet again 1-2-3.
