PEMBROKE -- Leonard L. Connor, 80, died Dec. 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born March 21, 1930, in Concord to Raymond and Mabel (Auger) Connor.
Having previously lived in Manchester, he spent more than 30 years as a Pembroke resident.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the John J. Maguire American Legion Post No. 28 and the Suncook Valley VFW Post No. 2860.
He had been employed by Sanders, Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut and BAE, working on aircraft engines and retiring as a supervisor.
He was a member of Order of the Eastern Star - Bethany Chapter No. 61, and International Order of Odd Fellows. He had also served as treasurer for both the Pembroke Grange and the Rebekahs - Mary Gordon Bartlett Lodge No. 69. An enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the former Suncook Valley Bow & Arrow Club and the NRA.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Tilden) Connor, who died in 2007, and to whom he had been married 48 years.
IN HIS LIFE: He is survived by three children, Sharron Greene and her husband, Edward, of Northfield; Alton Connor and his wife, Pam, of Massachusetts, and Laurence Connor and his wife, Doris, of Manchester; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren; four brothers, Cornelius "Connie" Connor of Tilton; Raymond Connor and his wife, Theresa, of Allenstown; Charles Connor and his wife, Cecile; and Donald Connor and his wife, Marie, all of Pembroke; two sisters, Frances Lascelle and her husband, Roger; and Joan Labbe, all of Manchester; many nieces and nephews. Leonard was predeceased by brothers, Armand and Edward, and his twin brother, Bernard.
SERVICES: Friends and relatives may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. A brief prayer service will be held at 2:45 p.m.
Burial with military honors will take place later in the spring in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
